Just a few bullets to share:
I met a blog friend in person on Saturday. Actually, I met her family as well. On the pleasure scale it was a 9. I really can't say that it was a 10 since I don't want to insult my hubby (being with him is a 10). Now that she knows where I am - I hope she'll come back soon. I'm aiming to visit her within the next 5 or 6 weeks.
I'm beginning to believe that M is learning some of the truths that were heading her way. We had a fabulous weekend together. I can't remember the last time that it was this "fun" to spend time with her and be in her presence. (If you're reading this M - I love you and I'm confident that you'll make the best decision when the time is right. Keep focusing on what YOU can do to affect positive change in your own life and leave what others are not doing correctly to a higher power. Easier said than done but do-able, nonetheless.)
We hosted the neighborhood potluck dinner at our home on Saturday evening. We had 21 in attendance. I didn't meet anyone that I wouldn't want to spend time with again. I loved having all those people in our home. The food was to die for. We've got some FABULOUS NEIGHBORS!!! I can't wait till we do it again.
This week is full of activity for my business. Yippie!
Daughter A spent the weekend in Gatlinburg with TheBoyfriend's church. I didn't spend much time with her on Friday (perhaps 15 minutes).
Our first royalties check came from my hubby's publisher for the piece that recently won Editor's Choice. Let's just say that it will cover the cost of Phase 1 of our 5-Year Landscaping Plan. We expect next quarter's check to be even larger.
I've added yet another consultant to our Team. I really do believe that Together Everyone Achieves More and I'm loving how great these new TEAM members are and the synergy that they contribute to the group.
I register J for "real preschool" on Monday morning. This is a 5 day, 6 hour program.
Baby K will begin to attend the "Mother's Morning Out" in March. Can't decide if she will go one day a week or two.
The final check for the court proceedings arrived. (You know the one where TheLoser's XWife had to pay $6600+ of her now X husband's fees and judgements? LOL) The attorney's fees were more than I expected but the amount that was left for us will still wipe out all of 1 credit card balance and partial on another.
I did get the pantry doors primed and painted; however, I didn't think to remember that the bottom would have to be trimmed in order to fit on the hinges (we added another layer of paneling to make the floor smooth and then added a layer of actual flooring so the door won't open and close with the floor being higher now). While the doors are primed/painted - the opening to our pantry is still "doorless" and I'm still rearranging the contents 4 or 5 times a day because of my smaller kids :)
I don't know why it is this early/late and I can't sleep. I think I'm going to have to seek outside help for my insomnia.
All in all the weekend was just awesome.
Wow, lots of good news! Good luck on the insomnia - I'm right there with ya on that one.
