Woo Hoo is what we say here in the south when we are excited about something. Today I'm almost beside myself because Comcast finally came and installed our Pod. It's about damn time though because its taken them since September 13th to do it. We've made 47 phone calls (yes, I kept track), have been told 19 times that they would "be there tomorrow/within 48 hours/next week" to fix it and they never showed up, and finally my hubby went to the local office here. He met with the manager and in front of the entire line of customers announced calmly that he would come to the office every single day and talk to customers about the poor service until his service was fixed. Isn't it amazing that after 90 days of hemming and hawing and procrastinating and hoping that we'd go away that it only took 24 hours to have that darn Pod installed once the right person got on it?
I might be able to get over it since they said that they were going to credit out account for the past 3 month's service. I haven't received the credit yet so it doesn't count. Once I see it - I'll believe it. Then it will count.
Now that the Pod is installed and the cable is buried - I have a stronger signal and more than one computer and the TVs are able to all operate at the same time. I am making this post from my laptop while watching TV and my hubby is on line in his office transferring music files.
Woo Hoo!
Next on our list of things to see about is the finishing of the kitchen cabinets and the wall unit. Hopefully it won't be too much longer before I'm saying woo hoo to that as well.
I'm about 60% done with getting my house decorated for Christmas.....my goal was to have it done by the 10th of the month so I'm right on track. Woo Hoo!
For an incredible story about Hooray! and a gentle reminder that God makes Himself apparent in the most innocent ways....click on this wonderful post. It is, so far, my favorite Advent post that I've ready this season.....perhaps several seasons.
Blessings everyone.
Edited to add: I forgot two other things that I'm excited about.
- My hubby has lost down to below 245 pounds. He said that he hasn't weighed less than 250 since the early 1970s. He's gone from a size 42 waist and today he purchased a 38 and it fit comfortable. I'm proud of him and for him. Woo Hoo!
- My son is up to 13 times using the potty. The accidents are getting few and far between and I'm beginning to feel cautiously optimistic about him being trained before he reaches the age of 4. I think the key was finding the right motivation and apparently the right thing for him was to be able to go spend the night with Nannie and Popa. Once he hits the magic number of 20 times (no matter how long it takes) then he can go spend the night with them. They didn't like this rule - but they will get over it. I'm just thrilled that we seem to be on our way. Woo Hoo!
Woo Hoo for all the great things going on in your life!

Now you and B can be podners -- both online at the same time. You can email and IM and goodness gracious even use Google Talk to speak to each other.
